AMY ACKER
Amy Acker had born 5 December 1976, Dallas, Texas, USA. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated Lake Highlands High School, Amy Acker is the oldest of four children, two sisters and one brother. An acting major at Southern Methodist University, Amy acted in several colleges theater productions. She appeared in various roles during the fantasy segments for the popular award-winning children's TV series "Wishbone" (1995), which was filmed in Texas and consisted of Dallas theater actors. Upon graduation she worked in Wisconsin and New York before winning the role of "Fred" on "Angel" (1999). Acker made her major television debut when she starred as Winifred "Fred" Burke on the second through fifth seasons of Angel and also as the character of Illyria for part of the show's fifth and final season. She won the 2003 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television for her portrayal. In 2005, she joined the cast of Alias for its final season, playing the villainous character Kelly Peyton. Acker graduated from guest star to fully credited cast member as the show entered the final episodes in April and May 2006.
Acker married fellow actor James Carpinello on April 25, 2003. In January of 2005, she had a son, Jackson James Carpinello, and in September of 2006 she had a daughter, Ava Grace. As a former "Angel" stars and "Alias" villain, she also appeared on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother." Amy will be playing Nathan Fill ion’s wife in the Fox TV show "Drive" which premieres April 15th. . Angel trading cards are now on the market with her image and characters, Fred and Illyrian. She is also featured on the Angel, Season 4 trading cards with her image and character, Fred and Angel Season 2 trading cards with her image and character, Fred, as well. With a love for theatre, Amy Acker studied at the Underlain Theatre in Dallas, and starred in productions of The Tempest and Much Ado about Nothing, earning the Therese Raquin Award for one of her star performances. After college, Amy Acker pressed her luck and moved to New York City were she quickly landed leading roles in the independent features The Emergency Specialist, opposite Ged Dickerson, and The Accident. Soon after she completed both films, Amy Acker moved to Los Angeles.
