ALYSSA MILANO
Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on 10th December of 1972 to Tom, a music editor and Lin Milano, a fashion designer. Her parents are Italian-American and Alyssa was born in a working class neighborhood in Brooklyn. She grew up in a modest house on Staten Island.Her stage debut was on Broadway in the musical Annie at the age of 8, and her television debut in 1984 with her role as Tony Danza's daughter in the popular sitcom Who's the Boss?, which ran for eight years. She won three Youth In Film awards for Best Supporting Actress.She returned back on screen after realizing that acting was her true passion. She looked to film, but didn't have huge success. Embrace of the Vampire and Poison Ivy 2 were considered soft porn in some sectors. In the meantime Alyssa had a brief stint as a pop star in the early 90's, releasing several dance pop style albums in that were quite popular in Japan and Europe. In fact, in those countries many people think of her as a singer first, and an actress second!. She has had 5 albums released in Japan which all went platinum.
She has played Reese Wither spoon's promiscuous best friend in the 1996 thriller Fear. The same year as her debut on Mel rose Place, Milan o attended the Sun dance Film Festival, where her new movie, Hugo Pool premiered. At the festival she was awarded with the Spirit Award for women.
